Business Heroes

As an entrepreneur, I’m sure you live under a high level of stress. When you are the founder, president, and CEO of your company, usually, everything is up to you, including all the strategies, big ideas, and important decisions.

Some say that “it's lonely at the top,” but even though you may feel lonely, you must know that you are not truly alone. You are surrounded by heroes every day!

These people are there to help you cope with the challenges of business ownership so you can succeed every day on your journey toward franchise success. That’s why I like to call them “business heroes” and there are five of them.

But first, please subscribe to our YouTube channel and Podcast, and follow us on all social platforms!

Hero #1: Your Customers

The first heroes in your organization are your customers because sales are the oxygen of your business, and they are the ones who come to your store, purchase the product or service you deliver, and return again and again.

There’s another reason they deserve that distinction. Even when your business or your team is not perfect, they forgive you and still come back the next time to give you the so-needed sales and revenue to keep your business healthy.

Without your customers, you wouldn't have a business and the income that you require to be successful in your franchise.

Hero #2: Your Vendors

Whenever a problem or malfunction happens in one of your units (which, let's face it, happens more often than you'd like), you can pick up the phone and call your service providers, and they'll be there to support you. These heroes may be your plumber, electrician, carpenter, equipment maintenance person, repairman, or painter.

While it's true that you pay them for their services, the fact that you can call them and they solve the issues gives you peace of mind, knowing that your operation won't be interrupted for long, that you won’t be stuck with broken items, or that you have to take care of the repairs yourself. That takes a huge weight off your shoulders, don't you think?

So, if you find those service providers that you can count on and that you trust they’ll do a good job, those men and women should be your heroes.

Hero #3: Your Employees

The third business heroes in your franchise are your employees because they are the ones who help you run your business. Not only that. They also take care of your customers, of your product and service, of each other, and of your building. They basically take care of you!

Yes, some of them may let you down and not do such heroic acts. And you are indeed paying them in return for their service. But they don't have to be in your business; they choose to be in your business. You are not alone in running the business; they are doing it with you. They take care of things that you cannot do and do them on your behalf instead.

And for those reasons and for what they do every day, they are your heroes.

Hero #4: Your Family & Friends

I know that as an entrepreneur and business owner, you have long hours, long days, long weeks,  and long years. And if you didn't have family and friends behind you, supporting you, encouraging you, and sometimes even feeding you, you would not be able to do what you do.

They are your business heroes! Thanks to their patience, love, and support, you are able to focus your time and attention on the business you are building, managing, leading, and growing every day.

Hero #5: You!

The last hero, but probably the most important one, is you! Because…

  • You took the steps to turn a dream, a hope, and an inspiration into action! Many people in the country and the world have dreams and hopes of things, but they do not take the risk to make it happen. You did. You actually did it.
  • You have been able to overcome adversity in bad times.
  • Despite whatever you're going through, you are still there, doing the work and making it happen!
  • You have spent time, money, resources, and all of your talents to be where you are today.

Because of that, you should be your number one hero every day!

So, please take care of yourself. You have to be healthy and happy to be the best that you can be in your business every day. Don't forget yourself because, without you, everything you do wouldn't be possible.

Now you understand what I mean when I say that you are never alone as the owner, leader, and CEO of your organization. Each day, you are supported by heroes who stand by your side.

  • Please stop for a moment and think of all of those business heroes in your franchise. Reach out to them and thank them for being there for you and supporting the journey you have chosen.
